JP: 一閑人/いっかんじん
A popular type of 3D decoration featuring a man hanging on to the side of a ceramic item such as a pot, as if he is looking over the rim, into a well. This design is originally a Chinese sometsuke (Blue and white painting) style, and is seen as a symbol of good luck.
