JP: 染錦/そめにしき
A design in which sometsuke (blue and white painting) and iroe (color painting) are combined.
First, sometsuke is painted on a biscuit fired body, glazed, then the piece is fired. Afterwards, iroe is applied, then a final firing completes the process.
