JP: 貫入/かんにゅう
The crazing pattern made on the surface glaze of pottery and porcelain products. These crack-like patterns are only on the surface, due to the difference in shrinkage between the clay and the glaze, so the integrity of these items is not compromised. This patten is hard to be made on porcelain, which is why we can't see it often on Arita ware.
