Arita Porcelain Fair
It is Japan's largest ceramics fair, held annually in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, during Golden Week (April 29th to May 5th). Approximately 1.2 million people from all over the country gather here, and pottery from Arita and surrounding regions is sold at bargain prices.
Arita Town's main street, which has also been designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Historic Buildings, is a delightful place to stroll. Recently, cafes and famous food stalls have also become popular.
The main street alone is about 4 kilometers long, so sneakers and light clothing are essential!
