    「濃み（だみ）」という言葉を聞いたことがありますか？

    Dami Brush | JPAP - Japanese Porcelain and Pottery Club濃みとは、線描きした内側や外側を塗りつぶすことです。呉須という顔料を使って描かれる、藍と白の染付のデザインに使われます。

    その濃みという下絵付けの作業の時に使用される鹿の毛を束ねた太い筆のことを、濃み筆（だみふで）と呼びます。

    有田独特の筆で、20cm程の竹の軸に約8cmの長さの毛束。毛の直径は5cm程もあり、とても厚みのある太い筆です。

    この濃みの作業は、昔から主に女性担当の仕事となっています。濃みの技法を習得するには実に長い訓練が必要とされ、本当に熟練技です。
