    "Shinogi" is a traditional hand-decoration technique for pottery/porcelain that involves carving the surface.  

     

    The Riso-gama Kiln strives to develop new techniques using current digital methods, and this challenge enables the maker to create beautifully and evenly designed lines across the entire surface, even on the back. These minimalist style tablewares work well for both daily and professional use.
