HASAMI PORCELAIN is an innovative Hasami ware brand created by Tokyo Saikai Toki, a long-established wholesaler of Hasami ware, with Takuhiro Shinomoto (tortoise) as creative director. With a clean, simple design free of any embellishment and subdued colors, it enhances the appearance of any food. All pieces can be perfectly stacked by size, and smaller pieces can be nested within larger ones. This not only makes for efficient storage, but also allows for various uses when stacked. Inspired by traditional Japanese tiered food boxes (jubako), these dishes can be used freely both individually and as a set in a wide range of situations.

About HASAMI PORCELAIN's Quality Control Standards

While we only sell products that have passed the manufacturer's inspection, please be aware of the following product characteristics:

• The Natural color may have individual differences in shade due to firing lot, weather conditions, etc.
• The surface of Natural and Black pieces is rough but will become smoother with age.
• Due to the nature of the glaze, Natural and Black pieces may have unevenness.
• White material mixed in with the ceramic clay may appear. This is removed during inspection for surfaces and sides, but is considered acceptable for the bottom surface.
• Even within product series of the same diameter, some pieces may not stack perfectly due to subtle shrinkage or distortion during firing.

There may be slight variations in color, painting, and weight between individual products. Also, some products may have small black dots (iron spots) on the surface of the vessel or glaze drips, but these do not affect the quality.
