This is a square small bowl from the innovative HAZE series, created by Kichiemon Gama, an Aritayaki kiln with over 400 years of tradition.

It features a refined "sumikiri" (cut corner) form with slightly rounded corners, and delicate "awa" (froth) expressions coloring the rim. Despite being sophisticated Aritayaki porcelain, this small bowl possesses both the warmth of handcrafted work and a modern sense of tranquility.

The exquisite size of 9cm square and 4.2cm height offers the versatility to hold anything from delicate dishes with liquids, to mixed salads, and even small dipping sauces. The rim's texture, which changes nuance depending on how the light hits it, exudes a quiet presence not only for everyday dining but also for entertaining guests.

HAZE Design Expressed with Unique "Awa-gesho"

This modern design features a distinctive bubble pattern on the rim of the cup, characterized by gentle color variations such as HAZE GREEN, HAZE BLUE, HAZE PINK, and HAZE BLUSH.

Texture Felt by Fingertips (Quality of the Rim's Froth)

The bubble texture applied to the rim is neither too rough nor too smooth, providing a moist and pleasant feel to the fingers. When light hits it, the subtle irregularities of the bubbles create soft shadows, giving a crisp definition to the entire vessel.

The "sumikiri" (cut corner) shape, with its rounded square corners, is not only a design accent but also a practical form that fits naturally in the hand.
