The first time I picked up this small bowl shaped like a butterbur leaf, I was surprised by its pleasant lightness. When gently cupped in both hands, the cool, smooth feel unique to porcelain and the exquisite weight of just 110g, which doesn't strain the fingers, feel perfectly natural. Crafted by Korin Kiln of Hasami-yaki in Nagasaki Prefecture, this vessel features a beautiful, translucent glaze accumulation at the bottom, called "bidoro tamari," resembling glistening morning dew on the back of a leaf. I've cherished it for a long time; it's become indispensable, bringing a refreshing breeze and a vibrant atmosphere to my dining table whenever I serve everyday side dishes in it.

Every time I use it at the dining table, I'm struck by the profound beauty of the "bidoro tamari" created by the glaze gathered at the bottom.
