We also recommend this size for shochu. Additionally, it is recommended for coffee, Japanese tea, and black tea. By allowing the aroma to circulate within the vessel, you can experience a deeper aroma and taste. The constriction in the lower part provides a secure grip, making it easy to hold and difficult to drop. The rounded bottom inside also makes it easy to stir with a muddler or spoon.
