HASAMI PORCELAIN is an innovative Hasami ware brand from Tokyo Saikai Toki, a long-established wholesale store for Hasami ware, with Takuhiro Shinomoto (tortoise) as creative director. With a clean and simple design devoid of any ornamentation and muted colors, it enhances any food. All vessels can be perfectly stacked by size, and smaller vessels can be nested inside larger ones. This not only eliminates waste during storage but also allows them to be used in various ways when stacked. Inspired by traditional Japanese tiered boxes (jubako), these vessels can be used individually or as a set for a wide range of occasions.

HASAMI PORCELAIN Quality Control Standards

While we only sell products that have passed the manufacturer's inspection, please be aware of the following product characteristics:

• For "Natural" items, there may be individual differences in color due to firing lot, weather conditions, etc.
• "Natural" and "Black" items have a rough surface initially, but they will become smoother over time with use.
• For "Natural" and "Black" items, unevenness may occur due to the characteristics of the glaze.
• White materials may appear mixed in with the pottery clay. These are excluded during inspection for surfaces and sides, but are considered good quality for the bottom.
• Even within product series of the same diameter, some items may not stack perfectly due to slight shrinkage or distortion during firing.

There may be slight differences in color, design texture, and weight between individual products. In addition, some products may have small black dots (iron spots) on the surface or glaze drips, but this does not affect the quality.
