Small Bowls & Serving Bowls 10-14.9cm

Hand-drawn beauty spreading across your table. The aesthetic form of a "sugegasa" gently cradles your dishes.

This mukozuke (small-sized bowl) from "Korin Kiln," inheriting the tradition of Hasami ware from Nagasaki Prefecture, features a unique and elegant form reminiscent of a sugegasa (traditional Japanese straw hat). The "inner and outer net" pattern, drawn seamlessly from the inside to the outside of the bowl, is entirely hand-painted by skilled artisans. The endlessly smooth and gently spreading lines elevate everyday dishes to a special meal. Despite its beautiful appearance, it boasts a surprisingly light weight of 200g when held. It is an irreplaceable piece that brings sophisticated comfort and the warmth of craftsmanship to your daily dining scene.

The warmth of hand-drawing felt at your fingertips, and the comfortable lightness of a surprising 200g.

When gently cupped in both hands, the smooth texture characteristic of high-quality porcelain, along with the subtle relief of the hand-painted net pattern, feels pleasantly familiar to the fingertips. With a substantial presence of 16cm in width and 6.5cm in height, it weighs a mere 200g. This exquisite lightness, easily lifted with one hand, makes everyday dining tasks, from serving to tidying up, incredibly smooth.

The "sugegasa" form elegantly enhances both Japanese and Western cuisine.

The original shape, gently widening towards the rim like an inverted sugegasa, is truly a beautiful frame designed to showcase your dishes. Its ample depth securely holds fresh aemono (dressed dishes) and salads with dressing. If you serve sashimi on a bed of ice, the indigo net pattern enhances the vivid colors of the fish, instantly transforming your everyday table into a quaint small restaurant-like scene.

The fusion of Hasami ware tradition and functionality perfected for daily use.

With over 400 years of history, Hasami ware has evolved as "everyday tableware" that closely accompanies people's lives. Its sugegasa-like expanding shape allows for beautiful and space-saving stacking in the cupboard, realizing stress-free daily use.

This masterpiece perfectly harmonizes the reliable techniques of historic Hasami ware with functionality that fits modern dining. The warm, hand-drawn net pattern and the meticulously designed sugegasa form enrich daily meals.
