"Good Tools" with the Warmth of Handcraft Added to Mass-Produced Items

The "Cords" series was designed by glass artist and designer Yoko Andersson Yamano (based in Stockholm, Sweden).

Its greatest charm is the rim line, which is designed to evoke lines, strings, and ropes. By intentionally adding a process of hand-painting with a brush, the mass-produced pottery acquires individuality, resulting in a warm appearance that conveys the handwork involved in its creation.

Furthermore, the design thoroughly pursues ease of daily use, such as stackability for easy storage and portability. The extremely simple design, finished in natural color schemes, serves as a reliable everyday tool that enhances any dish.

  • Minute black spots (iron particles) may be visible on the surface of the pottery, and glaze drips or pools may occur, but these are not quality issues.
