HASAMI PORCELAIN is an innovative Hasami ware brand created by Tokyo Saikai Toki, a long-established Hasami ware wholesaler, with Takuhiro Shinomoto (tortoise) as creative director. With its clean, minimalist design and subdued colors, it enhances any food it holds. All pieces can be perfectly stacked by size, and smaller pieces can be nested inside larger ones. This not only eliminates wasted space during storage but also allows for various uses when stacked. Inspired by traditional Japanese tiered boxes (jubako), these pieces can be used freely in a wide range of situations, both individually and as a set.

About HASAMI PORCELAIN's quality control standards

While we only sell products that have passed the manufacturer's inspection, please be aware of the following product characteristics:

• For Natural, there may be individual differences in color due to firing lot, weather conditions, etc.
• Natural and Black have a rough surface, but they will become smoother with age.
• Natural and Black may have unevenness due to the properties of the glaze.
• White material mixed with the ceramic clay may appear. This is removed during inspection for surfaces and sides, and is considered a good quality product if found on the bottom.
• Even within product series of the same diameter, some items may not stack perfectly due to subtle shrinkage or distortion during firing.

Individual products may vary slightly in color, pattern, and weight. Also, some products may have small black dots (iron spots) on the surface or glaze drips, but these do not indicate a quality issue.
