This seven-sun (approx. 21cm) serving plate, featuring an elegant twisted plum design, comes from Koraku Kiln, an Arita ware established over 150 years ago.

The first thing that will surprise you when you hold it is its texture. Instead of the typical smooth, glossy finish of porcelain, it has a very elegant "matte and smooth" texture. On this matte canvas, gold and silver lines are applied, creating a subdued yet luxurious brilliance that isn't overly flashy.

The 21cm diameter is the most versatile "seven-sun" size, perfect for serving main dishes or an assortment of several items. Weighing approximately 410g, it strikes a perfect balance, offering substantial thickness and stability without being too heavy to handle when serving.

Another point we, as specialists, want to highlight is its 3cm height (depth). This allows the rim to firmly hold dishes with liquid, such as New Year's Osechi cuisine and sashimi, as well as simmered dishes like "Chikuzen-ni" (braised chicken and vegetables), dishes with thick sauce, or delicately arranged chirashi sushi.
