Risogama Sometsuke Nadeshiko-mon Soba Choko (Large) 220ml

This is a soba choko series from Risogama, representing modern Arita ware. These soba choko are reproductions of Ko-Imari antiques that once existed. The nadeshiko (fringed pink) flower is said to be "a child so precious you want to caress it" and has been widely used in patterns since ancient times. The bottom features the "janome kodai" (snake-eye footring), which was very popular in Ko-Imari. While there are many patterns, making them highly popular as collectibles, they can also be used for coffee, sake, or as serving dishes.
