Sometsuke Ice Crack and Snow Ring Soba Choko (Large) 220ml

This is a large size soba choko from the series by Risogama, a leading contemporary Arita ware kiln. It is a reproduction of antique Ko-Imari soba choko that once existed. The design features ice cracks depicted as a geometric pattern and snow rings expressed as a circular motif, with the upper and lower shihotatsumi (four-square pattern) and lotus petals adding an interesting accent. The bottom of the foot ring is a "janome kodai" (snake-eye foot ring), which was very popular in Ko-Imari ware. With many patterns available, it is highly popular as a collection, and can also be used for coffee, sake, or as a food dish.

Please note that the color, painting style, and weight of each item may vary slightly. Also, some items may have small black dots (iron spots) on the surface of the ware or glaze drips, but these do not affect the quality.
