Sometsuke (underglaze blue) Ice Crack and Arabesque Soba Choko (Large) 220ml

This large soba choko is part of a series from Riso Kiln, a leading contemporary Arita ware producer. It's a reproduction of an antique that once existed, an imitation of Old Imari soba choko. The design is based on the ice crack pattern popular in China in the 18th century, but with a Japanese twist, featuring chrysanthemum motifs. Floral菱 and flower decorations are also depicted, making the pattern enjoyable. The base features a "Janome Kodai" (snake-eye footring), which was very popular in Old Imari ware. With many patterns available, it's very popular as a collector's item, but it can also be used for coffee, sake, or as a food vessel.

Please note that each product may vary slightly in color, painting style, and weight. In addition, some products may have small black spots (iron particles) on the surface of the vessel or glaze drips, but this does not affect the quality.
