Riso Kiln Sometsuke Bamboo and Sparrow Soba Choko (Large) 220ml

This is the large size of the soba choko series from Riso Kiln, a leading contemporary Arita ware producer. These soba choko are reproductions of antique Koimari ware, based on existing artifacts. The delicate brushwork, reminiscent of ink painting, creates an exquisite balance between the bamboo and sparrows and the blank space. The bottom features the "Janome Kodai" (snake-eye foot), a popular design in Koimari ware. While highly sought after by collectors for their wide variety of designs, they can also be used for coffee, sake, or as small bowls for dishes.

Please note that individual products may vary slightly in color, painting style, and weight. Also, some products may have small black dots (iron spots) on the surface of the vessel or glaze drips, but these do not indicate a quality issue.
