Karakusa Tohana Cosmetic Brush 6.5cm
The Tohana (Tang Flower) pattern is an imaginary floral design that arrived in Japan from Tang China during the Nara and Heian periods. This design is based on a pattern found on Nabeshima Sarasa cloth, with Tohana flowers arranged in a regular pattern, creating a dignified and elegant composition characteristic of Nabeshima ware. It also has a somewhat charming appeal.
The handle was crafted by Hataman Touen, a leading representative of Imari Nabeshima ware. The exquisite Nabeshima brand, born from sophisticated brushwork, is truly captivating.
The brush head was made by Chikuhodo, a brush workshop recognized worldwide. The bristles are a 50/50 blend of the finest "Sokohou" goat hair and extremely soft gray squirrel hair. This exquisite balance provides both appropriate resilience and a soft feel.
Please note that individual products may vary slightly in color, painting texture, and weight. Additionally, some products may have small black spots (iron particles) on the surface of the ware or glaze drips, but these do not affect the quality.
