HASAMI PORCELAIN is an innovative Hasami ware brand created by Tokyo Saikai Toki, a long-established wholesaler of Hasami ware, with Takuhiro Shinomoto (tortoise) as creative director. With a clean, simple design stripped of all embellishment and understated colors, it enhances any food. All pieces can be perfectly stacked by size, and smaller pieces can be nested inside larger ones. This not only eliminates wasted storage space but also allows for various uses by stacking. Inspired by traditional Japanese tiered food boxes (jubako), these dishes can be used freely in a wide range of situations, either individually or as a set.

About HASAMI PORCELAIN Inspection Standards

We only sell products that have passed the manufacturer's inspection. However, please be aware of the following product characteristics:

• For Natural, there may be individual differences in color due to firing lot, weather conditions, etc.
• Natural and Black have a rough surface, but the surface will become smoother over time.
• Due to the nature of the glaze, Natural and Black may have inconsistencies in color.
• White material may appear mixed in with the ceramic clay. During inspection, these are removed from the surface and sides, but those on the bottom are considered acceptable.
• Even within product series of the same diameter, some items may not stack perfectly due to slight expansion or distortion during firing.

There may be slight variations in color, painted design, and weight for individual products. Also, some products may have small black dots (iron spots) on the surface or glaze drips, but these do not affect the quality.
