Arita-yaki Shinwa Ojiyama Kiln "Kakiemon-style Kikuwari Kozuke" Small Bowl (8cm)

The vibrant red over white porcelain beautifully enhances your dishes. A dignified small bowl in the "Kakiemon style" that perfectly holds delicacies and dressed foods.

This is a "Kakiemon-style Kikuwari Kozuke" from Shinwa Ojiyama Kiln, bringing the elegant colors of the traditional Arita-yaki beauty, the "Kakiemon style," into a size suitable for everyday use.

White porcelain and painting that enhance food

The rim of the bowl is crafted in a "kikuwari" (chrysanthemum petal) style, with continuous waves like flower petals. Combined with the plump, smooth texture (gloss) of the porcelain, it creates an elegant three-dimensional effect and a Japanese aesthetic on your dining table. The design features auspicious flowers and fruits that have been loved since ancient times, such as "chrysanthemum," "persimmon," "plum," "peony," and "pomegranate," drawn with delicate touches.

With a charming size of approximately 8cm in diameter (approx. 130ml capacity) that fits in the palm of your hand, it is exceptionally versatile. It can be used as a small bowl for side dishes such as ohitashi, aemono, or delicacies, as well as a condiment holder or a dessert cup for small fruits or Japanese sweets after a meal.

"Just piling food high makes it look good" — the shape and size

This is a prized item to have, whether as an everyday dish that elevates your usual dining experience or as a special serving dish for New Year's or celebratory occasions.

Each item is made by artisans who manually apply the transfer paper for the design. Therefore, slight variations in pattern alignment, overlapping, and color density are inevitable from one piece to another (or even within the same piece). Please enjoy these unique characteristics of handmade craftsmanship.

Individual products may vary slightly in color, painting style, and weight. Additionally, some products may have small black dots (iron particles) on the surface of the ware or glaze drips, but these do not affect the quality.
