When we, the staff of a tableware specialty store, first held this bowl, we were immediately drawn to the exquisite design of its "handle."
Although it's a compact small bowl that fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, this small handle makes it surprisingly easy to use. Your fingertips effortlessly catch it when serving or when you want to move the dish slightly during a meal. Weighing only about 100g, it's also highly useful for set meal style tables where multiple small bowls are arranged.
"Kikuwari" and "Seigaiha" to beautifully showcase your dishes.
A serene design featuring the auspicious "Seigaiha" (wave pattern) drawn in traditional "sometsuke" (underglaze blue). Combined with the "Kikuwari" (chrysanthemum-cut) shape, where the rim undulates like chrysanthemum petals, simply placing blanched greens, vinegared dishes, or small delicacies instantly brightens the presentation.
