This is the large size of the soba choko series from Risho Kiln, representing contemporary Arita ware. It's a reproduction of a Ko-Imari style soba choko, based on an antique that once existed. It features a fine ichimatsu pattern and a design with sawtooth lotus petals at the base. The rim has a design alternating between diagonal grids and wood grain, and the bottom base is the "Janome Kodai" (snake-eye foot ring), which was very popular in Ko-Imari. While there are many patterns and it's highly popular as a collection item, it can also be used for coffee, sake, or as a dish for food.

Anraku Kiln Tobikanna-carved Donabe Rice Cooker for 3 Cups [Oven and Direct Heat Compatible]

No need to adjust heat

Because this donabe has significant depth, a large convection current occurs inside, allowing for even and fluffy cooking.

It's easy to use: place over medium to high heat for about 10-12 minutes until it boils, and when steam starts hissing from the steam hole, turn off the heat. Then, simply wait for the same amount of time you had it on the heat, and delicious rice will be cooked.
